Our food and drink
"People who love to eat are always the best people." - Julia Child Food means a lot to us and we only serve the drinks and food that we love. So we take every care to source the best ingredients we can find from suppliers that we know and trust. We offer fresh, wholesome food, much of which is made on the premises by us or supplied by local bakers and butchers so you can be sure we’ve taken every care and know exactly what’s in it. Whether it’s breakfast with freshly brewed coffee or a light bite with a glass of wine for lunch, there’s sure to be something to suit your taste and mood. Breakfast and Brunch We offer a selection of sweet and savoury breakfasts and brunches, served all day, including American style pancakes, eggs benedict and smashed avo. We've put a lot of thought into our LBC Cooked Breakfast to make sure every element is delicious, from our slow roasted tomatoes to the homemade baked beans. We also offer vegetarian and vegan versions of our cooked breakfast. Lunch We offer a selection of sandwiches, toasties and bagels including some traditional options such as smoked salmon with cream cheese bagel or our ham and cheese toastie. Plus we also offer something a little bit different, such as our mushroom, truffle oil and Swiss cheese toastie or our fig jam, apple and cream cheese sandwich. Our specials are where we like to offer something to tickle the tastebuds. We've done over 300 different specials since we opened and have offered all sorts of dishes, here are just a few examples of some of our past specials:
Sweet treats If you fancy something sweet after your meal we now offer a dessert menu including Syrup Sponge Pudding, served with custard, cream or ice cream or Jackie's homemade Chocolate & Almond Brownies. We have Sticky Toffee Pudding (which just happens to be gluten free, although you'd never know) and a vegan Maple, Cinnamon and Nut loaf served with vegan ice cream. We also offer a mouth-watering selection of home-baked treats including scones and cakes. Afternoon tea For a special treat why not book one of our Afternoon Teas (48 hours notice required). Drinks All of our drinks are carefully selected to ensure you can have the ideal accompaniment to your meal. Our coffee is fair trade and freshly ground. For chocolate lovers we offer indulgent hot chocolates including our Kokoa collection which are made with real chocolate - you really should try them. We also offer a range of teas and soft drinks including the delicious posh pops - flavours include Strawberry and Rhubarb and Ginger Beer with chilli. Take a look at our menu |
